That link is cool. Looks like a pretty neat place. Like your pics of you three with the busts hehe. Wow I read that book years ago, I think it's her best.
Nice Firework pics... they turned out great! Were you using a tri-pod or just holding the camera super steady? I'm going to go check out the rest of your pictures now. Toodle loo.
I've never read it in English, and I've only read most of it in French. I own it, of course, but only the French version. I've had plenty of opportunities to read the English version, but I could never bring myself to read it before finishing the French one!
Have you seen Wall-E yet? How did you like it? I absolutely loved it, but no one I know has seen it yet! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! :-)
Hope the book-reading is still going strong! Now that I have a new job and I am not stressing out anymore, I am ready to start reading again myself. Strange, you think stress would make me want to read more, but I haven't picked up a book in well over a month! Time to finish the Count of Monte Cristo!
holy cow SIX books in a week you have been on a reading binge. Its a good thing. My SIL has to do Saturdays at our B & N and they had some excitement yesterday the espresso machine in cafe blew up and spewed water all over the place. By time they could get things shut down there was ankle deep water into the main store area. Had to clear the store and proceed with cleanup. The company it comes from had just been there two days earlier supposedly fixing it. Right.
I hear you are having the parents get together on the 4th. Good luck with that!
David, we just got WiFi service here city-wide and we finally dropped the dial-up connection (thus the new email address) and so far the biggest benefit had been the wonders of YouTube, which we had avoided like the plague with dial-up. Last night I watched classic drum corps for an hour! I was thoroughly enjoying the 1988 Scouts show - remembering seeing it live at finals - until it hit me that this was 20 years ago! I instantly felt very old. Normally I'm in a comfortable state of denial aided by avoiding mirrors and other reflective surfaces whenever possible. So I can watch those around me grow older while pretending I'm unaffected. But times like these I can't avoid the math.
Hope you have a good holiday weekend. BTW, what is David's next job?
I just read that 47,000 homes are still without power here in Omaha. I'm glad ours is back on. Sorry your sunburn is so itchy. It means it's starting to go away. Get yourself some SPF one million... that may do the trick next time. ;-)
i really hate storms! im glad nothing happened where you are and hopefully everything\everybody is ok where your parents are. it stormed here last night as well but nothing majorly bad. And yes its beautiful outside.. not really hot at all! thank you JESUS especially since our ac isnt working. Anywho wow only 3 days left! WOO HOOO!!!!
We've been having these thunder and lightening storms at 4 in the morning and lasting an hour or so. Makes sleeping very hard and very tired days. LOVE Arrested Development. So sad it got cancelled. Jason Bateman is the man!

Well, I've certainly been called a Nerd more than a few times in my life, but I have absolutely no idea what the hell you're talking about! I guess that means I'm an "old" nerd. Got your letter yesterday! Thanks! I'll be heading that way as soon as the flood waters recede a bit and I can make it to Coralville without a lifeboat!
Mmmm looks yummy. I had to hit the mall and get a hair cut today and picked up sesame chicken at the chinese place there. RYC: yes they did have dairy products to eat and drink too. Jenny check out my blogger site I have a slideshow with more pictures there. It was awesome!
I have some fond memories of that little passageway! :-)

Beautiful pictures. Doesn't look like your mom made it into any, what up with that? And your fireworks pictures and video are great. Good job on them.

You haven't read The Little Prince (and you a French and English major!) I'll let you read it tonight. It is a children's book and a classic.

Yeah as far as I know the HuHot is still closed in Iowa City/Coralville. Hopefully there's not any flooding damage at the restaurant.

I'll have to try this... only I'm thinking chicken breasts and having Dad grill them. :-) You guys should come for dinner then!
Oh, this is "Still_groovy" - I forgot to add that, with my name.
Hehe, that's pretty nerdy, alright! But I say that because I don't know much about computers, so ANYTHING is going to be too nerdy for me!
