I get today off from work, paid, because I had to work Memorial Day. Woot! So tonight, Liz and I are going to go see Sex and the City: The Movie. Super excited.
Dave is in the kitchen cooking eggs and sausages for...well, I suppose it'd be brunch, now. We weren't sure if the eggs were still good, so he cracked one into a bowl to check before putting it in the pan. While getting the sausage out, his elbow knocked the edge of the bowl and the egg went *splat* straight onto the floor! Bwahahahaha! Scrambled, anyone? Seriously, though...he's so cute when he cooks.
I'm not sure what we're going to do today, since neither of us has to work. We should really take the bikes to the bike store. Dave had to assemble them himself, so we want an expert to check the brakes to make sure he did them right before we take them for a spin. We talked about seeing Prince Caspian finally, too. Of course, then I'd be seeing two movies in one day...but that's not really a bad thing. My extra discount days are coming up soon at work. I have a list going of books I want. Nerd that I am, most of them are fantasy novels. I finished George R.R. Martin's A Game of Thrones last night, and then started The Clan of the Cave Bear, by Jean M. Auel. I suppose the latter isn't strictly fantasy, but kinda. It was recommended to me by a customer at work; we had similar taste in several other books, so I hope I'll like this one as much as she does. I've been spending a lot of time on librarything.com, reading forums, and trying to get a feel for other books I might like. I'm really enjoying juggling several different fantasy series. The more I have going, the less likely I'll have a long painful wait for the latest books to come out, I figure. We'll see if that holds true.
In other news...Wii Fit is going well so far. It has you set a goal when you start; mine is to lose 10 pounds in two months. I don't think I've lost anything significant yet, since your weight fluctuates naturally during a day. But technically, I am lighter than I was when we got it, on the 21st. I think once the weather cooperates and we can start going on bike rides, I will start to see better results. Both Dave and I would like to have smaller pant sizes come fall.
Alright, I think I'm going to go watch Quantum Leap while Dave finishes cooking (eggs over easy—unless he broke the yoke with his fancy flipping, hehe—and sausage links). Then maybe we'll do something productive today!
A plus, mes amis.
